Workplace clocking system allows staff to make holiday requests
Drivers from East Midlands Trains have today (Tuesday) walked out. There are rail replacement road services for routes including: Nottingham to Lincoln, Nottingham to Mansfield Woodhouse, Derby to Matlock, Derby to Stoke-on-Trent, Nottingham to Boston, Nottingham to Sleaford and Lincoln to Sleaford. David Horne, managing director for East Midlands Trains, disputed union claims over pension payments, saying: “The benefits at the end of their service are protected. So we are not talking at the moment about any reduction in pension benefits.”
Time and Attendance Midlands can install workplace clocking systems that include lateness and absence recording. An online self service module allows employees or contractors to view or change their personal information via an Internet Browser. Access to the self-service module is username and password protected. After a successful login, staff can: view their absence calendar and make holiday requests; add or amend any of their clockings, to be authorised subsequently; and add/annotate reasons why they were absent.
