The union Unite has said the staff have gone through three years of wage freezes. Unite is set to ballot staff for industrial action. Peter Coulson, Unite regional officer, said: “There is still time for the owners of Birmingham airport to get serious and listen to our members’ reasonable demands.” Management said the news of potential strike action was “disappointing”.
