Workplace screen designer feature enables creation of custom database tables
The bakery in Garretts Green, Birmingham, is to close with the loss of more than 500 jobs. David Seeckts, head of manufacturing for Hovis in the Midlands, said the reason was the firm had lost a significant contract. Of the posts, 323 will go in the bakery division and 188 in distribution. The company owners said Birmingham is one of its highest-cost bakeries. Tim Langsford, who has worked there for 12 years, heard the closure news on the radio and said he was “stunned”.
There are many features in a Time and Attendance Midlands clocking system. One of these is Screen Designer, which satisfies every imaginable information recording requirement. It allows advanced users to create custom database tables. Graphical tools are provided to ‘draw’ common application controls such as drop down lists and tick boxes onto new forms that are seamlessly included within the application interface. Properties then link the new input screens (controls) to a specific field in the customised database table.
