Construction work set to start on speculative industrial scheme in Coventry

Construction work is set to begin on a new major speculative industrial scheme in Coventry after property group Goodman acquired nine acres of land in the city as part of a joint venture with LaSalle Investment Management, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

The site at Lyons Park was bought from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and will include five industrial units totalling 214,000 sq ft. Goodman secured planning permission from the city council earlier this year.

Charles Crossland, managing director of Goodman UK Logistics, said: "This development is great news for the region as it will give local companies the opportunity to expand while also attracting other businesses, especially in this part of the UK where there is a lack of supply of grade A industrial space.
