Three new Derbyshire developments receive planning permission

Up to 570 new homes will be built across three South Derbyshire developments after regeneration specialist Harworth Estates received the go-ahead from council planners, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to find.

The three sites earmarked for development include 5.8 acres south of Woodview Road, where 60 homes will be built, along with 8.25 acres for 110 homes. A further 66.7 acres, currently in use as council-owned sports pitches, will be redeveloped into 400 homes.

The land, located between Park Road, Burton Road and William Nadin Way, is adjacent to a new golf course and driving range currently under construction.

Stuart Ashton, planning and development manager in Harworth’s strategic land division, said: "This development is a key part of Swadlincote’s regeneration that will provide a mix of high-quality homes with new pedestrian and cycle links in an attractive new environment.
