University of Lincoln to invest £130m in new academic buildings and facilities

A university has revealed five major development projects amounting to a total of £130m, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

The University of Lincoln wants to carry out five major projects as part of a new masterplan. They include constructing the Isaac Newton Building, a centre for teaching and research in core science and technology. This will expand Lincoln’s Engineering Hub, which is in collaboration with Siemens.

It will also build Marina Court, an on-campus student accommodation scheme for 500 pupils, and invest in its National Centre for Food Manufacturing centre in Holbeach.

In addition, further investment will be made at the university’s Joseph Banks Laboratories at Lincoln Science and Innovation Park, while a new building for the University’s School of Psychology and School of Health & Social Care will be constructed.
