Hundreds of jobs could be created in Telford under plans submitted by the HCA

Plans to develop a multimillion-pound industrial scheme totalling more than 600,000 sq ft in the West Midlands could see hundred of jobs being created in the region, a news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) has submitted plans for a 640,000 sq ft warehouse, or two 300,000 sq ft units, to Telford & Wrekin Council. The development will be located at Telford 54, a 78-acre plot of land near Stafford Park.

Nick Bird, area manager for HCA in the Midlands, said: "The HCA work closely with Telford Council’s estates and investment team to ensure that our considerable land portfolio is managed and developed to help fulfil local housing need and economic development goals.

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) is acting on behalf of HCA alongside joint agent Bulleys. Matthew Tilt, associate director in the industrial and logistics team at LSH in Birmingham, added: "This promises to be a major development for the West Midlands, bringing potentially hundreds of jobs and huge investment to the region."
