Engineering firm to bolster staff at its Warwick facility

An international design, engineering and recruitment group with European sites in Warwick, Basildon and Cologne has revealed plans to create 50 jobs at its Warwick site as part of a £450,000 investment, a news report has been able to suggest.

Contechs has revealed plans to upgrade its facility at the Budbrooke Industrial Estate, including the creation of new office space, a mezzanine floor and reception area. The additional staff will take its headcount to 950.

Peter Jarvis, managing director of Contechs, said the investment was sparked by a seven-year deal to supply automotive interiors.

He added: "This has been yet another year of impressive growth for Contechs across Europe, which has allowed us to once again increase our expanding workforce and invest and upgrade our site in Warwick, which further strengthens our market leading position in this competitive sector.

"This new seven-year deal marks a significant contract for our new client and everything needs to be fully facilitated and operational by August this year. We have now launched a recruitment drive to fill all 50 positions as soon as possible."
