An outline planning application for a 50-acre development in Evesham named Avon Business Park has been submitted recently by regeneration specialist St Modwen, who claims that the facility could potentially bring 1,000 new jobs to the region. The park will be located two miles south of Evesham town centre on the A46.

St Modwen has lodged plans with Wychavon District Council following a public consultation in November 2015.

Peter Rudd, development director at St Modwen, said: "Following our joint venture agreement in 2013 with the landowners, we were successful in getting the land allocated as an employment site in the recently adopted South Worcestershire Development Plan.

"We have now followed this up with an outline planning application for a large employment-led scheme, including a new site entrance and landscaping."
