Casino operator to invest in new Dudley site, create multiple jobs

A casino operator has revealed plans to invest more than £12m in a site in Dudley, creating up to 74 jobs in the process, a recent news report in the local media has been able to suggest.

Casino 36 is now planning to relocate Dudley’s existing casino on Castle Hill and develop a new bingo hall in a bid to increase footfall to the town.

The purpose-built facility on Castlegate Leisure Park is expected to create 74 jobs and could be open by 2018.

Adrian Ballard, a director at Casino 36, said: "Dudley has, in my eye, always been a leading market town. The plans to move the area forward are admirable, and something I am keen to be involved in.

"I feel the opportunities our new site will provide will complement these plans and be an additional vehicle to bring much needed tourism back to the borough."
