Jobs salvaged after company is purchased out of administration
Multiple jobs have been rescued after a Kingswinford-based company was purchased out of administration, a news report in the local business media has been able to suggest.
Francis Catering has been trading for more than 40 years and recently purchased assets and certain contracts out of the administration of Design Catering Equipment.
However as part of the group’s expansion, the securing of new, larger contracts involved upfront capital investment, which had put ‘unsustainable pressure’ on cash flow and working capital, FRP Advisory said.
The company said that after being unable to secure additional new funding, the group was left with no viable alternative to ensure ongoing trading, other than to seek a sale of its businesses and assets via administration.
The firm was sold together with its associate company Design Catering Eqipment (2014) Ltd, to Unitech Industries Ltd, which is based in Burntwood, Staffordshire.
The business will trade under the name of Francis Commercial Kitchen Services Ltd and continue specialising in the design and installation of first class commercial kitchens for clients from the group’s main office and a satellite warehouse in Stockport.
