Clocking stations can help streamline activity on retail parks
Clocking stations and time and attendance systems can help streamline the activity on retail parks, such as the new £32m development in Northamptonshire which could create more than 1,000 jobs.
According to a news release in the local press, the revised scheme for 13 acres of land to the west of Eastern Way, Daventry, is tipped for approval. The updated scheme includes the demolition of buildings on the site and the construction of 7,427 sq ft of food and non-food retail space, a 12,486 sq ft pub and 60-bed hotel over three storeys.
A statement to the council from Henry Boot Developments, the company behind the scheme, said: "As a result in the change of the market interest, the proposal for site five has needed to evolve and now brings forward a retail-led development of both food and non-food retail and offering both comparison and convenience retail floor space in an alternative configuration.
"It is intended that Unit A1 will be occupied by a high-end convenience operator and Unit A6 will be occupied by a discount, limited assortment convenience operator.
"In terms of the public house and restaurant units it is expected that these units will be occupied by national multiple operators, acting as a complementary offer to the wider retail development.”
