Dedicated time and attendance device accurately records employee clocking data
Even though job creation in the Midlands’ private sector is well above the UK average, unemployment in the West Midlands is also running much higher. The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics state that 234,000 people were unemployed in the West Midlands in October. This figure is up 10,000 on the previous month, to 8.9 per cent of the working population. In point of contrast, the UK average is 8.3%. This is despite announcements like 1,000 new jobs at Jaguar Land Rover at Solihull and Castle Bromwich.
