Employee smart cards can be used to make job costing transactions and book absences
Derby City Council could lose up to 500 jobs because the authority wants to save £20 million in the next financial year. The council said management will continue to meet weekly with trade union representatives to discuss the situation. It added that compulsory redundancies would not be necessary if enough people chose voluntary redundancy. Philip Hickson, leader of the council, commented: "We are left with no alternative due to the continuing impact of reduced funding."
Time and Attendance Midlands deal in time and attendance systems that save time and money. Contactless smart cards are used to operate our time and attendance, access control and visitor monitoring systems. All the smart cards and key fobs use the same well-proven and reliable RF (Radio Frequency) reading technology. This gives a consistent read range which is unaffected by most external conditions. Using the smart cards employees can clock in and out, make job booking or job costing transactions and log in to book their holidays and absences.
