Hard-wearing turnstiles improve access to toilets for local authorities
East Staffordshire Borough Council’s customer services office had to apologise after a complaint about the way it dealt with a disabled woman. Nicola Parnell was refused entry to a disabled toilet after she visited the customer services office to buy access to the facilities at her local shopping centre. A spokesman for the Borough Council said: “The council prides itself on good customer service and it is unfortunate that Ms Parnell’s experience was not a positive one.”
Time and Attendance Midlands provide a range of excellent hard-wearing Coin Operated Turnstiles for improving access to toilets for local authorities. Developed from the need for either councils or private companies to provide WCs to a good standard and generate revenue for their general upkeep, the turnstile bodies have lockable lids to prevent unwanted access. The coin mechanism can be programmed for virtually any combination of coins with a secure cash box to hold the coins. Half and full height options are available.
