Monitor Birmingham staff absence with Time and Attendance HR software
Birmingham City Council’s personnel department is tackling the issue of staff who ‘swing the lead’ with a new £45 million computerised human resources system being introduced. The council has a big problem with staff absence as the average sickness level is 15.6 days per employee, and the council’s target is 9.7. The plan of the Human Resources (HR) department is part of a wider program which aims to save the council taxpayer more than £300 million by 2016.
Time and Attendance Midlands offers state of the art smart card and biometric time and attendance systems which are quick, accurate and easy-to-use to record employees’ hours of. Starting at just £1199 for a T32xx Clocking Station, it will not cost you £45 million.
The software has a familiar Windows™ interface, providing quick and easy access to information. An Exception view quickly identifies areas where the normal working pattern has not been followed. You can choose to view all types of absences, a single absence type or all types with a common category. Absence categories and types are fully user-definable. Up to nine reason codes can also be stored in the clocking station. These allow clocking out for configurable reasons such as ‘Dentist’, ‘Business’ or ‘Smoking Break’.
