No physical contact between clocking smart card and reader means neither will wear out
Teams of council workers in Northamptonshire have begun switching off street lights which will save the county council £2 million a year. The measure will eventually see about 33,000 lamps turned off countywide. Councillor Andre Gonzalez de Savage (Con, East Hunsbury), assured residents that prior notification is being carried out for the switch offs, adding: “A census check is also being carried out a night to assess whether the lamp is working and not hidden behind trees.”
Both employers and employees can be helped with their efficiency and productivity by Time and Attendance Midlands smart card and biometric time and attendance systems. Clocking in and out is simple – just hold the badge for a moment in front of the T32xx clocking station reader and it reads automatically. As there is no physical contact between the card and reader, neither will become worn-out by continuous use. This also gives the advantage that dust and residue picked up from the working environment presents no risk of clogging the reader.
