Plans for £20m environmentally-friendly business park in Coventry set to be revealed

Plans for building a new £20m environmentally-friendly business park in Coventry that could lead to the creation of up to 400 local jobs, a news report has been able to suggest.

The Eco Riverside Business Park scheme, which will provide 100,000 sq ft off office space on the River Sherbourne from Far Gosford Street to Charterhouse is developed by Complex Development Projects (CDP), the company behind Coventry’s Fargo Village and Electric Wharf.

The project is part of a wider drive by Historic Coventry Trust to create a 70-acre heritage park centred on the restoration of the 14th Century, grade I-listed Charterhouse.

Ian Harrabin, of CDP, said: "We want this business park not only to serve a very valuable purpose in ensuring that our creative companies have somewhere to grow and thrive but also in attracting inward investment.

"The development will set a new benchmark for eco buildings in Coventry and Warwickshire area with innovative design in a landscaped setting along the naturalised river."
